Not a rain cloud in site, but a breath of wind either. Hot and humid, our four teams hit the court without missing a beat.
The first game between Hot Shots and Em Ois was a tight and fast game. Some fantastic shooting by both sides as well as the defending ends. Albi produced some excellent boundary aerial skills whilst some top contests were had between Tim and Ash. Bronwyn had some handy tips to hand out to the team during the half time break which saw them get hot on the heals of Hot Shots. A positive vibe all round this game. Hot Shots took the game, 30 - 27. Well done to all and a thanks to Rochelle for her help on the scoreboard :-)
Xe Omz set the second game off to a flying start, getting an 8 goal lead within the first 5 minutes. The late arrival of John saw the game level out more in the second quarter and BIS Offs showed more of their true form in the second half. Sam and Clive were involved in some great contests (Sam's defense work the best we've seen) and some feisty play in the center court saw the game's more competitive side come through. Amy, as always, lightened the game with her giggling and positivity. Xe Omz came through winning 18 - 11.
